This is typically where a trends analysis, or a S.W.O.C. analysis comes in handy, looking at the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges facing the organization. As issues are identified, we help the team focus on: What are our strengths and how will we sustain them? What are the challenges we face and how significant are they? What data do we have and what does it tell us? What is within our power to control?

We help you envision different scenarios for the future and make decisions about the future you want to build toward.

Scenario thinking enables leadership teams to think creatively about different strategic paths for the organization. What are the different ways we could grow? In what ways could we maximize our impact? Who are our primary customers and how can we strengthen our connections to them? What ultimate outcomes do we want to achieve? What would success look like in one year? In three years? How will we measure success? These are the types of questions we help teams grapple with as they envision the future.

Once the vision is clear, we help leadership teams translate the vision into decisions about goals and objectives, strategies and resources. This is when strategic thinking becomes a strategic plan.

Once the strategic plan is finalized, we typically facilitate the development of business plans and action plans that tie directly to the strategic plan’s larger goals and objectives. We also facilitate the ongoing monitoring process, following up on action steps, and determining whether the strategic plan is achieving the intended results.
